lace slip dress

This week’s post features a black lace slip dress I purchased in the late fall. I know it’s a bit of a trendy piece, but it evokes a chic, je ne said quoi Parisian vibe that I so desperately try to emulate. Plus, the amount of different ways I am able to wear it ensures that it gets plenty of rotation through my wardrobe.

I can’t wait for slightly warmer weather to be able to wear this dress on it’s own, but this dress still works for cold weather since it can be layered so easily. Above, I wore a sweaterdress over it for daytime. I like that the length of the slip is appropriate enough for work. Layering the dress over a cropped tee, further above, gave me major Cher Horowitz vibes.

The dress can easily be worn alone for a fancier look. I wore my favorite leopard coat on top for a dramatic, glamorous touch. I think it’s a great date night option, especially for Valentine’s Day next week.

This particular dress is Lucy Paris and I purchased it from Bloomingdales. There are similar options available here and here, and slightly different options here, here, and here.

What other styling ideas do you have for this dress (particularly for the upcoming warmer months)? Let me know in the comments below.
