Temperatures in Nashville rose to 80 degrees in the last week of February, prompting a summer-like across the city. People were wearing shorts and taking advantage of the sun by walking around downtown and dining outdoors or on rooftops. I was one of them.
I wore the outfit above straight from work downtown to happy hour at one of my favorite restaurants, Butchertown Hall. Obviously I am a fan of the blue and white color palette for warmer weather.
White denim is one of my favorite summer staples. These jeans I received as a gift – the raw edge hems and knee holes I did myself. (Similar styles here and here, or if you want to make your own holes like I did, these are a great option for only $69.) The shirt is Madewell from last year, but they still make a similar style for this season. Lastly, my go-to Stan Smiths and favorite vintage Gucci bag (get the look for less here and here).
Now, we are back to more seasonal temperatures, which I do not mind, and tornado watches, which I do mind (hearing my first tornado siren yesterday was definitely a little scary)! But the dream of summer is not so far away anymore!
