While my style tends to be on the conservative and subdued side, I still like to push some boundaries of fashion in very specific ways. One of those ways is incorporating elements of sleepwear into everyday wear for the lazy girl’s dream. Winter is a great time of year to do this. Cozy layers don’t have to be restricted to the fireplace. Just make sure they look thought out, not derelict.
Madewell skinny jeans are slim but offer a decent amount of stretch I’m wearing the skinny high-riser and cut the hems myself. This bodysuit by Privacy Please from Revolve has a knit similar to long johns that makes it incredibly warm but also snap buttons – I’m guessing for accessible ventilation? Practical and cool, nonetheless.
Throwing on a cardigan-coat hybrid (‘coatigan’) is akin to wearing a blanket. Mine is from local Nashville boutique Amelia Styles, but I like options from here and here too.
As a Serial Outfit Repeater does, I’ve worn these BP boots from Nordstrom in a couple of my past posts (It’s Fall, Y’all, Music City Highway, and Leather Weather). They’ve served me well the past couple of years both in comfort and style. However, they are starting to get a little too worn and I am going to be in need of a new pair of basic black booties before the season is out. I am currently eyeing these very similar ones, also from Madewell (their boots really are made so well).
