I’m writing this as I’m coming off a Fourth of July weekend trip to New York. Normally, I’d write a recap of my traveling (such as here, here, and here), and I started doing just that, but unfortunately it looks like my draft did not save from this afternoon to this evening, so I’ll keep today’s post brief.
One thing I would like to mention is my trip to Lavender by the Bay, a lavender farm situated on the easternmost point of Long Island. The sight & smell evoked memories of being a child in the South of France and picking lavender for my grandmother to make sachets with.
I’m also feeling some French vibes with the skirt in this outfit from Sezane, picked up on my last trip to New York in the spring. French summer style is my absolute favorite, as it perfectly balances a laid-back & elegant aura, whilst being easily attainable. The key components of French summer style involve simple silhouettes, mariniere stripes, classy beachy staples, and LOTS of white.
