This time of year, January-February ish, is actually my favorite time of year to go out (or stay in) with friends. In Nashville, this is the best time of the year to go out on Broadway as it’s the off-season for tourists. I love bundling up in a cute sweater, leather jacket, and old booties to hit up a honky tonk. January is also when The Bachelor starts up again, so weekly watch parties (and all of their accoutrements) are mandatory.

I feel like there’s not a whole lot else to do when it’s this cold, and lots of socialization keeps my serotonin levels high. One of my goals this season is to attend a Nashville Predators hockey game since I’ve never been to one (I know). My roommate and I also have plans to throw an epic Galentine’s Day celebration – the details of this are still uncertain, but we know it will involve a series of bachelorette-inspired gag gifting.

Everyone knows that a good party guest never shows up empty handed, so when I go out I always make sure to bring a nice bottle (or two) that everyone can enjoy. Lately I’ve been reaching for the Sauvignon Blanc by Yealands Wines. It’s light & refreshing with a taste that appeals to everyone at a party. It’s also a bit unique, as it comes from a New Zealand-based winery and is certified carbon neutral, so it’s nice to switch things up from the same basic wines or seltzers that we all always drink.

What’s your favorite party favor to share with friends?
