Do you live & date in Nashville? Today I’m sharing 33 ideas for a date night in town, just in time for this coming Valentines Day! I also think they would work just as well for Galentine’s Day. Did I miss any suggestions? Feel free to add your ideas in the comments below.
- You can’t go wrong with a classic dinner date. Some of my favorite newer restaurants in town are The Green Pheasant, Liberty Common, and Lyra.
- See a classic or unique film at The Belcourt Theater.
- Arrington Vineyards is open all year round for wine tasting, and they have enclosures in the colder months that keep patrons warm, so cold February weather won’t be a problem. You can contact them directly to arrange buses to and from Nashville for large groups.
- City Winery also offers wine tastings and is more central to Nashville Proper.
- Hand pour a candle at The Candle Bar (2 locations, East Nashville & Berry Hill).
- Volunteer together for a shared favorite cause. See a full list of upcoming opportunities via Hands on Nashville here.
- Take a hike at Edwin Warner Park, Percy Warner Park, or Percy Priest Lake.
- Reach new heights while rock climbing at The Crag.
- The Adventure Science Center is always fun for all ages, but they have one of their Way Late Play Dates (a 21+ only event) coming up on February 7. Register here.
- If you’re dog people, take your furbaby to the Shelby Dog Park to run and meet some new friends.
- If you’re cat people, check our Mewsic City Café, Nashville’s first cat café.
- If you’re just generally animal people, visit the Nashville Zoo to meet lots of different types.
- Visit one of Nashville’s breweries. There are several amazing options in every neighborhood, but my personal favorites are Yazoo and Flying Saucer Draught Emporium.
- Or, you could take a brewery tour to see which one you like best.
- Go go-karting at Music City Indoor Karting.
- Catch a jazz improv show at Bourbon Street Blue’s & Boogie Bar.
- Find Love Circle (something I have not done yet).
- The iconic Fleetwood Mac make the Nashville stop on their new tour on February 27 at Bridgestone Arena. Tickets here.
- Get cozy by the outdoor fireplace at Urban Cowboy’s Public House.
- Make the pilgrimage to Jack Daniels distillery for some whiskey tasting. Tennessee Whiskey Tours offers packages that include transport to & from Nashville.
- See a show at a classic Nashville music house like the Ryman or the Grand Ole Opry. (Kacey Musgraves, Sarah McLaughlin, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and The Brothers Osborne are on the Ryman’s docket for February.)
- Practice your swing at Top Golf.
- Take a tour of the art studios downtown like 21c Museum and Zeitgeist Gallery.
- Have brunch with a side of bowling at Pinewood Social.
- The Nashville Symphony will be playing the music of John Williams February 7-10. Even if you’re not a big orchestra aficionado, you’ll definitely recognize this composer’s work (he wrote the music for movies like Star Wars and Harry Potter). Tickets here.
- Learn how chocolate is made at Olive & Sinclair (then reward yourselves with some of their fine confections).
- Run with the East Nasties (meet at the corner of 11th & Holly St every Wednesday at 6pm, rain or shine). Then, head to 3 Crow Bar with the Nasties for 2-for-1 drinks.
- Take in the view from the rooftop at L.A. Jackson (with a nice cocktail, of course).
- Cheer on the Predators at Bridgestone arena – they have a home game on February 14 (but also on February 10 & 21).
- Dillon Francis will be playing two shows at Marathon Music Works, February 17 & 18. We don’t get a ton of EDM concerts in Nashville, so this is a treat. Tickets here.
- Test your pool skills at Melrose Billiard Parlor for a little friendly competition.
- Reserve an igloo on the rooftop of the Bobby Hotel for a cozy view of downtown.
- Learn to square-dance amongst the patrons at Robert’s Western World (I had to put one Broadway bar on here!)
