DRESS | BAG | SHOES
I apologize in advance if you follow me on Instagram, as this dress has been a regular fixture of my feed as of late. (If you have any issues with that, please refer to my blog name and you’ll understand.) My style is on the surface decidedly ‘casual tomboy,’ but honestly I wish I could wear pretty dresses consistently, like Late Afternoon or Atlantic Pacific. Their spring dress feeds have been off the (daisy) chain.
Spring is my favorite time of year to wear a dress. As I write this, I’m wearing a dress to work for the first time this year I think (this one, in case you’re wondering). I love that spring is a time of year where it’s not only encouraged & expected, but actually COMFORTABLE to wear a dress to an occasion.
Today I’m sharing some of my favorite dress choices for all manner of spring occasions. If you know me, you know I like versatility in my options, so I like to think that most of these options transcend the categories I’ve placed them in. Therefore, please consider these spring dress suggestions fluid for every occasion. (A few jumpsuits also snuck in – I couldn’t help myself.)
Easter
I wanted to highlight more conservative options here in holiday-friendly pastels. Click on the links below the images to shop.
Pink Pastel – on sale for $59
Lavender Lace Dress – only $89
Mother’s Day
For whether you’re celebrating mom or getting celebrated, these dresses are easy to move in and great options for daytime plans.
Brunch
These are a little more youthful and trendy for your regularly scheduled mimosa hour. No groundbreaking spring florals here – I also clearly am obsessed with animal prints lately. I love how they can be dressed down with sneakers or dressed up with a great jacket.
At the Beach/Pool
Depending on where you live, this might be more of a summer dress than spring. At least here in Nashville, they’ll be opening my pool in 5 days. But we might as well prepare now.
Wedding Guest
I love a midi length for wedding guest dresses as they work for most occasions these days. Just as long as they’re not white!
For the Bride-to-Be
When you’re getting married, it seems like you need more than just one white dress for the big day – there are showers, engagement parties, and bachelorette shindigs. Here are a few options for those other ‘bridal’ occasions.
White Sheath Mini – For Your Bachelorette
Lace Jumpsuit – For Your Engagement Party
Bell Sleeve Dress – For Your Bridal Shower
Love the textures and colours, and BTW there is nothing tom boy about that style 🙂
