September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and this month, I'm swapping my laces for gold.
September sees the rise of wedding season in the South (the summer is just too hot and we’ll be having dry, hot weather through October). As someone from the North, fall weddings have always evoked a sense of coziness and cool temperatures - yielding dress choices that involve velvet, black lace, and jewel tones to compliment the overcast skies and changing leaves. But down South, since the temperatures can still reach 90 degrees, these options just doesn’t seem appropriate (or comfortable)!
If you follow me on Instagram, you've seen my post from this morning highlighting the new Brenne Whisky. What I love about this whiskey is that it combines the bite of the South's favorite drink with the elegance of French distilling (this single malt scotch is made in Cognac, France). I was really excited to share this on my feed as someone with French heritage living in Tennessee (arguably, the whiskey capital of the world).
